“A Web Spun Inside My Body”
Material: plaster
Size: 1:1 (approximately 90x45x40cm)
This sculpture belongs to a series of work which explores ways to visualize pain. In this case, the inspiration came from the pain in the belly I had cause by a tumor. Spider is a element I used frequently in my work. It seemed nature for me to use spider web as the visual inspiration to make the pain personal.
“Lose of control, off with all limbs”
Material: plaster
Size: 1:1 (approximately 60x80x30cm)
This sculpture belongs to a series of work which explores ways to visualize pain. In this case, the inspiration is the mental pain of losing control of ones life, whether because of loss or sickness. I wish to deliver the frustration through those amputated limbs.
